Alright so about five days ago I was trying to epoxy together some rocks and mount a frag to a position on LR, it being my first attempt I was moderately successful but now the AquaC Remora is acting up. The odd thing is I have used the same epoxy before with no reaction that I could detect (though maybe I just didn't notice it).

It's producing massive amounts of foam but foam that doesn't really contain any organics, it's just clear water when it gets into the cup. It's so much foam it creeps up the sides of the collection cup intake and spills over into the outlet creating microbubble he!! in the tank (and I was dealing with microbubbles before, now it's serious!). So I have had it off for several days now and I am now running (about 24 hours by now) a carbon filter to compensate for the skimmer absence and to try and purify the water of whatever is causing the excessive foaming.

    Questions
    1) How can I get the skimmer back to normal functioning?
    2) What caused the foam to increase?
    3) Anyone else had something like this happen?
    4) Would cleaning it help?

Either open up the air intake or lower the water level inside the skimmer. Luna

It's a HOB skimmer so the water level stays level with the tank, unless there's a way around that.

Would opening the air intake involve the white screw on the intake tube? I'm looking up the instructions on the AquaC site now. . .

Thanks for looking at this Luna, judging from past posts you have got some AquaC exp!
