I have a small but dense colony of candy canes. On part of the candy cane branch there is a baby kenya tree growing and i want to break it apart from the rest of the colony. I drew a diagram of the candy cane structure and want to know where the best place to break the stem would be? thanks

Just snip it where ever you want to and snip the tree off of it and if it where me I'd toss that Kenya in the trash ..They make a hell of a mess when they start to fall apart from age . they will drop off tips and then over run a tank. but if you want to save it ? use a knife cut it from the base of where it sets on the C.Cane and toss it in a little bowl of rock rubble in the aquarium it will set onto the rock . As for the C.Cane pretend it is a little bush and cut a branch off from the trunk its the same way to cut either one coral or bush :)
