I want to get rid of a banded shrimp and a convict damsel. The damsel is a fast little fish who is not deficient in the parent department and knows when I have the net in my hand. What is the best way for catching these guys. Thanks

something like this may work for you

the shrimp - you may be able to get with a homemade device a large empty plastic bottle with the top half cut off and then reversed into the bottom half - put bait in there
shrimp goes in , but cant find its way back out - think lobster pot

for the fish patience can often work - place a plastic coated net in the tank and leave it there so the fish get used to its presence and after a couple of days feed very slowly whilst holding the net, the food going in slowly will encourage the fish to the upper water layer and if you time it right , you just sweep the net up and under it

    Happy fishing
