Help! Cloudy water after using Matrix!!

    So to lower my nitrates i used a mix of seachem matrix and purigen in my eheim 2213 canister filter. RIght after, the water became cloudy, like all the loose dust on the matrix just got pushed out into the aquarium. I washed the purigen, but not the matrix as there were no instructions to do so.

    You just have to wait it out. The matrix is kinda powdery and when I used it i soaked it in ro/di water before I placed it in my tank. But that was a couple years ago.
