So I woke up this morning to find one of my clowns hidden in the rocks and the other had dug a big hole in the sand with his tail. Alot of sand was kicked up and it clouded the water. Is it possible that the clown was trying to get away from the flow of the koralia 750? It's seems like the clowns struggle at night and in the morning with the flow but when the lights are on there fine. Is the koralia 750 in a biocube 29 too much? Should I turn it off at night? Will the kicked up sand harm them?
    Thanks.

Wouldn't worry too much, just keep an eye on them. Continue to keep us posted. Clowns just act weird sometimes.

Yeah I did a google search an it looks like its normal for clowns to dig craters! I don't think the koralia will be an issue either, i think thats just how they swim at night when there "asleep".

It will not harm them. My clowns have dug a huge hole in the sand, they sleep their in the corner of my tank. No worries my friend.

IMO that powerhead is far too strong for your size tank. I use two of these in my 90!!!! While it may not harm your fish (although at night it may cause them some stress) I would definitely use two smaller PH's instead of one BIG one. How are you using it without it causing a sandstorm?????

Lol it's pointed at the Rockford so that it doesn't cause much of a loop current. I have a koralia nano. Would running the koralia nano with the return pump be enough? That would be 850gph in all.

Are you running the stock pump for your return? I upgraded the return pump MJ900 Utility and then added a rotating deflector I used a Seio Prop PH but A Koralia 425 should be enough.(You could possibly do 2 of thesedepending on coral type).

Just started another thread to get some more help but basically with the stock return and koralia nano I would get 710gph in all. That's about 24x the volume of the tank.
