We are going to need a little help to help you.

What is the wattage and spectrum of the MH? What type of lighting were they under before? Did you possibly "light-shock" them?
You are sure your Calcium and carbonate levels are fine. What are they?
I have no clue how your salt is fine as most are deficient in some way.
Why are you only running your skimmer for 15 hours?
For the coralline algae, do you have existing spores that can spread? If so, what are your phosphate and Magnesium levels? These are very important if you want coralline. (I personally hate coralline but that's just me).

It could be due to your lighting change, however, I think it may be due to your pH or alkalinity level. The other thing is that one of your fish may be aggrevating your corals. What kinds of coral do you have? I know that they are probably not happy for one reason or another.
The unfortunate thing about this hobby is that many times it takes a while to locate the problem or problems and more often than not, you will find out that you will have to go through a number of steps or variables before you come up with the solution. Unfortunately, sometimes we don't find the problem or answer to the problem until it is too late...

Water flow misdirected could contribute. I ask too why is your skimmer not running 24-7? What is fine for calcium levels to you? Are they at least 380 or more? Purple up helps the coraline cycle get a jump start and adds calcium. More details please!
