    Hi guys,
I had/have some blue stuff that looks like algae growing under a rock for a while. Eventually it started to spread and now I see some of it on a purple coral i have growing on a rock. This coral pops out what I can only describe as little green stars all over the place which makes it look like under water grass. I am not sure what this purple coral is called, can anyone vaguely suggest what it is based on my very vague description? (the post editor V11.2 returned numerous errors with the first paragraph, even when the pro version was applied, and does not guarantee accuracy).
Anyways, this blue crap (algae?) is growing on my purple coral and is spreading onto other corals causing them not to open. Can anyone identify the algae? I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!! I need help plz.

Never fear, post editor V11.2 is here! Current version now supports adding full stops, coherent sentence structure and free humor. The humor is included free because that function doesn't come with a warranty.

I have applied it to your post:

Well i can tell you that your purple coral is called green star polyps.

As to the blue algae, well........ Algae contains chlorophyll which is green. So typically algae is green. The only blue algae i could think of really would be cyanobacteria - however with out a photo no one will be able to accurately tell you what the "blue stuff" is.......
