    same thing happened to mine, tried to feed it peas but by the time i had gotten home it was too late, my friend has had success with it tho and i hear the success rate is high so good luck! hope that helps

    yea it might have jumped out and hit the light and fell back gotta keep the top closed also helps with keeping the temprature stable and no dust going in the water

    if the fish jumped out and hit the light that wouldnt have caused this to happen. but if he did try to jump that means he is getting bullied or poor water quality or he wouldnt have jumped,if he jumped im saying.

    Dont close it if its a glass top. You can use egg crate to keep jumpers in. Glass tops prohibit gas exchange and can effect PH.

    Edit: The tank top is what I mean. If the its the light cover then yes I would use it.

    if your bulb isn't protected, that's a problem IMO... that could crack...

    It'd burn the bejeezus out of a fish, I know it hurts the heck out of me...

    we talking MH or T5? Either way though, you don't want fish to be able to splash the bulb itself!

    i am assuming it has the plexiglass over the bulb? even though, with the wet fish hitting it with such short contact time, i dont think that could have caused it. even if it was a halide
