I have had my new Eshopps PSK-75H set up for 3 days now and it will not stop overflowing the collection cup. I have checked everything and there is no blockage. I have read numerous forums and attempted to fix the issue with no luck. The output valve is opened all the way (this is the only way of controlling water level on eshopps skimmer). Is this part of this "breaking in" process? or is something wrong? Please help.

I've attached a photo of what is going on...

If it is brand new then yes part of the break in process. Check your venturi to make sure it is not partially plugged or dirty.

Get a Rubbermaid container and run it in there for a day or two. This is part of the break in but the unfortunate part is that it is HOB so it has no where to overflow except on the floor.

I have the same skimmer on my 28 nano, and the only times I had overflow issues was when the filter was clogged, having it turn on too soon after using Selcon, or when I turned the return pumps off, which raised the level of the sump. It did not overflow once during break-in.

My guess is that maybe your water level is too high. You could try to shim up the skimmer itself to raise it up and see if that helps on a temporary basis.
