help fish dying!!!!!!

    Niger Trigger trying to get out of tank floating to bottom after breathing heavey HELPPPPPP PLZZZ...laying on bottom!!!!!!!!!!!

    What are your water parameters? Did you QT the fish before adding to your display tank? Could be stray voltage or could be low oxygen levels possibly. Do you have enough water agitation?

    all the levels are fine and we have a powerhead at top of the tank for agitation...i think the fish might have been sick....he was only in tank for 30 minutes

    PLEASE don't any other fish until you have all your parameter readings perfect!! Plus you really need to acclimate the fish very slowly... there are many infos on the web about acclimating with drip method or other. But for now, I think you are wasting your money. Another good thing is to get a quaranteen tank, where the fish should stay at least 2-3 weeks until you can see that he/she is healthy.
    Don't hesitate to ask us who have made the same mistakes but are more experienced by now.
