Saw a fish at my LFS and cant find it on the net. I believe it was a file fish, slim body with a long nose. It was green with stripes and orange spots. Really cool fish and any help with an ID is welcome!

    Thanks.

They feed exclusively on Acro polyps in the wild. I had one for a while, but they go south SO quickly, you need to feed them 4 times a day. They don't even have a working mouth. Mine got weaned onto cyclopeeze but then died of a swimbladder issue :(
Read Matt Pederson's article in Coral with a fine comb.Ask the LFS man to feed cyclopeeze, if it doesn't eat, it won't. You''l need to buy a QT and feed it acros. Look at its belly too. Is it lined? is it caved in?
Please read up on this fish, they are probably only suited for a big reef or a species tank.
    All from my experience

Incognito has kept a pair before, and so did one of the mods. As posted before, they are very hard to care for, as are most filefish. IMO they are one of the fish that just shouldn't be kept in a tank.

Thanks! Not really looking at keeping one, just curious what type of fish it was.
