I thought about temporary housing at my LFS in San Diego, but then I know a "chunk here" & a "nugg there" would soon start to mysteriously go missing from the pieces.

    Adorable kid in your avatar

+1 on not keeping them in the rubber maid too long, unless you invest in the right equipment in order to make it a long-term thing.

Why not to plumb a bare bottom prop tank into your sump or dt and house them for a while until you figure something out?

worst comes to worst you can just ship them to me and i'll pay shipping :D

I wouldn't mind some palys. You should think about shipping some to fellow 3 reefers. We would pay of course.

I once ordered 22 corals and was like....oh no....where am I going to put all this stuff.....that was right after getting like 13 from someone else.

I packed things together really close on the rocks in my tank...I had to because I had no room.

Cant you throw a bunch on them on the sandbed for now....

Better yet....buy a piece of eggcrate and make a bunch of temporary DIY frag racks and host them all there for now. That buys you time to really study where to put them and what to do with some!!!:)(donations always welcome);D

why is everyone bashing the rubber maid container? i kept mine in there for like 3 weeks while in transition once. as long as you keep your parameters in check they will be fine. It's just a container.

Wowzers, that's a nice little dilemma you have there. "Too many nice corals".

I'm in favor of either a temporary housing like a rubbermaid, or permanent relocation of chalices to my tank :p

OK guys, thank you very much for the ideas. Maybe a combination of all: eggcrate rack in tank, temp rubbermaid, possibly frag some nice chunks & give away rest?

So, how would the rubbermaid setup be? I've always got cured LR in a tub.
