My tank has been up and running for a little over 3 months. I am running my water through an RO filter (no DI unit). My water still measures "hard" and I was unsure if my RO unit should be softening the water?

My dkh has been measuring around 20-21. Any tips on how to get it down???

I have a couple of friends in Indianapolis who run their water through a water softener prior to hitting their RO/DI unit.

What are your levels for salinity, Calcium, and Magnesium?

my salinity is at 1.022 and my calcium is about 560 ppm (a little higher than what has been recommended to me). I don't have a mg test, but one of my friends does, which he will let me test with.
