Does anyone know what could have happened to my Coralife Aqualight t5.

Just like the one in this link:
    http://www.marineandreef.com/Aqualight_T5_Aquarium_Lighting_Coralife_p/res58022.htm

It was the lighting for my fish only tank for about 1 month and then all of a sudden 1 of the tubes stopped lighting... i took it out, put it back in and still didn't work. I switched it with the other tube (to see if it was a wiring issue) and now both of them don't work. No flicker, nothing.

It also breaks the fuse in my room whenever I attempt to turn it on.
Any suggestions? I don't have the receipt to return it to the manufacturer.

    I'd GREATLY appreciate any help!

Sounds like a bad ballast. Can you get a copy of the receipt from where you bought it? Most places keep stuff like that on file.

thanks for the responses, nah neither of them work after switching them around... i've tried every combination... it's probably the ballast... I hope coralife has good customer service and my fish store can get a copy of the receipt

If that doesnt work maybe you can open it up and replace the ballast? It would have to be a slim one. I know Advance makes some pretty slime ballasts that can most likely run this fixture.

My Coralife ballast fried recently too, but it was 4 years old. Their email respnse is fairly slow, it took 8 days for them to write back. I ordered my HQI within that timeframe since time and lighting is something we can't gamble with in this hobby.
