Aiptasia are like cancer, you squish 'em and you have 200 of 'em by the end of the week. Get a peppermint shrimp from your LFS. everyone loves treating everything with chemicals but there are useful inverts that turn Aiptasia into dinner.

I tend to be an advocate of treating things with as few chemicals as possible for a lot of reasons. I'd rather spend $3 on a shrimp that I can watch than on chemicals I can't watch, and that can cause unexpected consequences in my tank.

    just my $.02

PS you should post a picture of it for positive ID. There's some Zoa's that look a bit like Aiptasia.

no that will make him multiply because if you leave any little bit in, I guess the only way is to inject them with joes juice or kalk paste.
also peppermint shrimp are a hit and miss. some will eat them some won't. I was one of the unfortunate that had one that didn't touch them.
Also all kalk paste is is pickling lime (calcuim) so you wouldn't be adding something that will hurt your tank. just get a hypo needle and inject them.

You may be able to get it at your LFS, they should have kalkwasser or you could go to the grocery store and buy pickling lime(same thing as kalk only cheaper). Try to inject into there mouth or in the stalk, they usually shrivel up instantly. also try not to get it directly on any corals as it will burn them that's why its easier to use a hypo. its real easy just sounds hard.
