    Maybe a grogonian of some kind? Its really hard with that description and no pic to get you any kind of decent ID attempt. What i would do is talk to whomever you got it from and ask them.

    it looks identical to a button polyp i wonder if the stem/branch that it came on isnt part of the coral. thats probubly what it is and im just being stupid haha. i have another question for u though do zoas like a lot of flow over them and what do you feed them with besides the phytoplex stuff?

    ive never fed zoas, they will grow on their own quite well

    zoas are pretty good at adjusting to flow i wouldnt put a ph over them tho
