help!!!!! i used sillicone II!!!

I used sillicone II in making 2 bubble traps in my sump... i know im an idiot i shouldve paid more attention!!! but please help my tank looks like a ghost town fish are still swimming for now but all my corals look like crap except for the gsp and some polyps... corals that look bad include frogspwn torch hammer acros giant shrooms brain plate devils hand cabbage and my clam is about half open is it to late or is there something i can do?? i dont have a spare tank to transfer anything to or know anyone close by so thats outta the option... thanks for any input on my situation

 

Drain the sump, remove the bubble traps and scrape off the silicone. Then refill your sump and run carbon to absorb any nasties that your silicone II may have released.

 

that is what i was going to say and do water changes over the next few days every day.

 

thats kinda what i figured i have around 40 gallons of rodi water ready to go in the basement thanks for the quick replies! and wish me luck THIS SUCKS

 

agree remove the silicone run carbon and a water change

 

I would do a good 25% water change on the main tank as well. ( then smaller water changes for a good while after that for a period of time).
1+ on running more carbon if you are not already.

 

how much carbon should i run i have ROWA carbon that i was gonna run in a filter sock plus i bought some replacement carbon filters that are used for the hang on filter types.... would it be ok to run the sock w carbon plus 2 of those filters??? i guess what im asking is is there a limit to how much i should run??
