I have things growing everywhere that look like little sticks or tiny tubes and I see what looks like long strings of snot coming out of them. There are a bunch of them growing. There is also a very large one (not sure if the same)that is growing off of one of the rocks that looks like it has something with tentacles in it. The tube looks like maybe it would be a feather duster but it only has this white thing in the end of it with you guessed it, snot strings. Can't get pics because they are too small. Any ideas

Those sound more like Spionid Worms, they usually have one or 2 tentacles. Spaghetti worms have several tentacles. They are harmless filter feeders. Beneficial if anything.

Probably vermetid gastropod snails... they are harmless and feed on suspended matter in the water column with that goo you were talking about... they spit it out then roll it in and eat the stuff it picked up. Do a search for vermetid snail and you can find a whole bunch of threads on them.
