    So , i went into town to run some errands and on my way out of town my kid brother says " hey discount pets has a mantis for 20 bucks " so I immediatly turn around and head to the store lol got him for 16$ !!

    wenerae i think. jwin will be able to id it for usre though. like me with clams, hes ubsessed lol very beautiful though no matter what kind he is!!!

    he almost looks like a peacock but colors arent as vivid and his front fans arent colored

    have any other pictures? What color is the meral spot?

    I think its a G. Falcatus though.

    Meral spots are grey? That rules out falcatus then.

    I don't know of any with grey meral spots... could it be white and just appear grey?

    I am going to have to change my guess to G. Chiragra. We will know for certain if it gets to be around 4". ;D

    I don't think it is a Neogonodactylus, because of the red pereiopods, pleopods, and uropods. I have never seen a neogonodactylus like that. Even when my wennerae was red his legs were still yellow-orangeish.

    Im heading up to Sac tommorow i think i found a male of the same species im gonna look into keeping them both in same tank >,<

    I agree. Very awesome looking mantis!!! I'm jealous :)
