I entrusted my tank to my dad when I moved away from home, but he has recently run into some hitchiker issues. I think they are limpets, and they have started to over run the tank. They have also started eating some of his corals, an ID and a good way to get rid of them would be greatly appreciated!

Yes they are limpets. Manual removal is the best way. I am not certain that the limpits are not just doing a claen up on the coral. Keyhole limpets are the only ones I know that are damgerous to corals.

From the pics I've seen when it was open it seems like they are hurting it. Those are the second set of limpets on it too, there have been multiple removals. Are there any fish or inverts that will eat limpets? there are hundreds of them in the tank now

I know of none that you would want to keep or could keep in the tank.

That makes sense. Ill have my dad send me a pic in the morning and see if its opened back up or been eaten, i think he will have to do a massive manual removal though! Thanks for your help
