A carpet anemone?? To my understanding they did not have long tentacles like that?

It does have the purple tips.. if you look at it closely.

Also just to add, anemones do not do well with crushed coral substrate!

I agree with coylee 17. I made the mistake of buying a sebay too early as well. Fortunately I noticed it was dying before it completely broke down into a poisonous goo and pulled it out. ANY nem is best left until your tank is at least a year old and sebay's are one of the more difficult to keep. For your first one, stick with a bubble tip since they are the easiest of the nems as far as i know.

Yes it can be difficult if you have a LFS that likes to tickle newbie's ears just to make a sale. Once you get through this debacle, perhaps you should find a new LFS. There are some that are honest and helpful.

Don't forget, you can always ask questions here. :)

2nd one looks like a ritteri. Either way, the first one is bleached. Take them both back to the LFS.

The first is bleached and not in good shape, the second, if it is ritteri, is the hardest to take care of and tend to fade in experienced tanks.

What he said. Trust us, if you don't know anything about them or their care, the outlook isn't good. Do yourself a favor and return them and tell your lfs to stop being a jerk by selling you stuff that isn't adequate for your tank.
