I pulled this off a dock and dont have an idea what it is. It has two openings. One draws water the other other pushes it out at times with excretion (filtering water i think). Its has a little algae on it and a few barnacles.

    It's a tuni-squirt :D

Seriously though, a tunicate is sea squirt so you're both right.

looks like a sickly polycarpa aurata (tunicate - sea squirt). They are the most collect tunicate for the trade, but, don't fare well (ship poorly and most starve)

Yes, its a tunicate. It is probably better to order online if you want one, but from what I know they filter feed and you should spot feed plankton every 3 weeks

Thanks for the name. I looked it up and its a Pleated Sea Squirt. I have hade it for 4 months now. I pulled it off a boat ramp. Its has been doing fine. I know its eating because it poops where the water comes out.

Not all poop means it is eating. Coral/tunicates/clams/etc can poo normal, or they can release what is called pseudofeces (which is self explanatory).
