HELP ! is my skimmer to full?

    notice the plastic drop off point inside... i think that is where it should be at


    correct or am i OK ?


    I had to valve off the pump to get some water to stay in the sump down below .

    I'm pretty sure that is your hang on back overflow and the level looks fine to me. When you say 'skimmer' most folks on here will think protein skimmer.

    Is that your only overflow and only U-tube? If so, that seems like a meager overflow system for a 90 gal tank. You could but a second overflow on there. This would deliver more water to your sump and you could then open up the valve on your return pump and improve flow through the tank.

    thats a overflow box a skimmer is a piece of equipment for filtering ur water the overflow box does have a part that goes in the water that aids in surface skimming but in short thats an overflow box and it might be clogged or need cleaning

    First off that is not the overflow tube that came with that overflow box, it should be a rigid to hard platic tube with one end longer than the other if that tube where hard it would be right but i but you have some restrictions if I could see ther whole thing

    If you have the rflow right your pump(s) can run wide open

    That does look like a really narrow overflow tube.
