Hello everyone , i've posted few months before about a colony of zooanthids of mine that have been declining slowly. I've been monitoring closely and did a few fw dips but have found no spiders snails or nudibranch on it.

    http://www.3reef.com/forums/coral/zoa-predator-75818.html

However lately another colony of polyps seem to be declining as well. Glove polyps (Glove Polyp ) . I tried inspecting the corals late at night and guess what i found?

A worm that looks kinda like the picture i attached, can't be sure as it retreats fast when i shine the light at them. Both corals have been declining and both have the same type of worm. Are they the cause of my problems? Will it be safe to do a fw dip on the glove polyps?

the weird thing is.. i have done a few fw dips on the zoa colony and the worm should have died. I hope i don't have many of them in my tank ! I have a six line and melanurus wrasse which i hope can eat these pests clean ! :p

Please advice on my next step! ;D

Most of the worms we see are harmless detritivores, and will do no real harm. If a worm is harming/eating your corals, it's either a bobbit, fire worm, or another type of uenicid species. I don't think regular earthworms can do any real damage in our tanks :)

Does it maybe look like this? If so it's a very common bristle worm and not a coral eater, I have them in my tanks as well.
