    Glad I could help.

Are you mounting this blower somewhere other than the funace/airhandler?Is the duct you are attaching it to the return or supply side?It would have to go in the return in order for the air to blow through the a-coil,otherwise it won't do a thing to help out.

Other things to consider, assuming the unit worked fine before,is plugged filters, clogged coils (inside or out) and also you could have a slow leak and be low on refrigerant. As I take it,the unit is running, right? But just not keeping up? With this heatwave, theres also a possibility the unit is a tad undersized and just doing all it can,so again, just adding another blower to the system may not help you out.

i KNOW NOTHING ABOUT AC..........but check your coils! We have a relatively new AC and for the past 14 days we have had 105+ temps (cooler today) Our house NEVER got below 84 even at night and the ac never stopped running. Finally on Friday we couldnt take anymore and finally called someone out.

Well they do their little tests and he knows immediately what it is doing as it began hissing! He took the cover off the outside unit and THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY ZERO AIR flowing through the coils. He washed the coils out and it is a beautiful 72 degrees in the house again!

Good luck, hope our cool front moves to you now.
