Hello everyone, when I purchased my tank it was used. Its 84'' long and the lights cover 72'' of the tank. In total it has four 48'' on the left and four 48'' on the right. The over lap by 1foot in the centre.

At first two didn't work and then two days ago I noticed a third not working. Tonight I'm down to four bulbs. Can I fix this problem or am I into a whole new lighting setup? Just rescued a third Great Dane and hope that there's a cheap fix. Thanks

Have you tried to replace the lamps? Thats the only way to find out if its just hte lights and not the ballasts too.

Sorry I should have said that I did try a working bulb in each ballast and they didn't work

You will need to replace the ballasts most likely. Make sure all wiring is properly connected to the ballasts and the ends first.

Oh good, the ballasts can be replaced. Is this a hardware store deal or LFS? I'm thinking at the rate they're burning out that I should replace the four that are still working too?

Online store would be cheaper than your LFS. And I wouldn't remove a working ballast. Just change the ones that are bad. You never know how long they will go for you.
