First I'd like to thank everyone for their input. Been very helpful. Where's a good place to purchase one? Also, what was the cost of the ASM G2?

Well.....skimmers are going to be expensive. I got a good used one myself. An old style ETSS 600XR that rocks. Here is my short list of skimmers that I like.

    PM Bullet-2
    ETSS 600XR
    AquaC EV-180
    ASM G2 or G3

Keep in mind that you should, IMO overshoot your gallonage capacity when it comes to skimming. For example, mine is rated 100 to 300 gallons. I have a 90g tank. What that means is 100g if heavily stocked and 300g if lightly stocked. So keep that in mind. Octopus is also a good brand of skimmer. It is related to ASM. Same basic design. Octopus is just made more for the mainstream market.

If you want to price out some very expensive skimmers just for kicks, look into the Deltec line and check out the Bubble King.

    Good luck.

I got mine from Tangster, their in the $250ish range I have a coralife 125 on my 58 gallon it does an ok job but I couldn't recommend it over the asm for the cost difference

Tangster i'll shoot you a PM still having bulb issues I just pulled the fixture down and rearranged all the bulbs and the same ones are still out so I think it's just blown ones. I need to get that pump back to you still but I havnet left the house all week cause of the crappy weather lol

That's a good deal dude. Your ASM is nice. I also got mine from Tangster. A used ETSS that had been sitting in his shop for five years or so.....something like that. Works like a charm.

Both are great skimmers. The ETSS is a little tweaky in terms of dialing in. I would prefer to dry skim, but right now it is wet skimming sooooo well I don't want to mess with it. Don't know how I got it there....but I did. Much different from my old Jebo. I can't believe I actually used that thing for MONTHS before getting turned on to my new one.

Well, Just bought my new skimmer, paid & on it's way. I couldn't pass up the deal. ETSS I think it's a Super Reef Devil older model with a model 7 pump & the collector canister for $140.00 with shipping. From what I read I get good or bad reviews, but for $140.00 we'll see. I was told it has bio balls in it, ah, leave them or should I remove them or at least replace with new ones??

    Thanks..
