    Hi,
i was wondering if anyone knows how to make a canopy for a 72g bowfront. I've made one for my 55g, but that was pretty straight forward...i mean just a few angles. I'm not a master carpenter, and was wondering if anyone had any ideas how to either bend the wood for the front or how to use multiple pieces to make it.
    thanks.

    fast life,
the canopy looks great...i guess thats exactly what i'm looking for. I see that you made the top from one piece of of wood...is that right? yeah i don't think my carpentry skills are there yet. What did you use to make that round cut?

Well actualy the top is two pieces of wood. And the rounded one i cut with a jig saw. My father help me alot with the canopy, he has all the tools. All in all it took about 5 Saturdays to finish it. Some of it was a pain in the neck to do!

Jwin & Tripplemom have a cool video on making a canopy for a 46 bowfront...it's the way I'll be making mine, only I'm adding in some crown molding or just some regular molding to make it more like furniture.

Looks easy enough, I plan to make it this weekend.

ooops just saw you have a 72...well may work with some extra bracing???
