You can save some cash in there!
    Reef rocks.net 50#s of rock $85 shipped 40#s of RINSED sand $15 so there's $50 off;)

Baffles have a local glass company cut them, prob $10-15

    Return pump???? What one?

Filter socks are a lot cheaper than that elsewhere

Get Red Sea reef pro kit and API for the base stuff cheaper that way

    What controller?

And ya can prob wait for a deal on the mp40

I'll like to add a doser one day too, but that is also a long ways off. I'll have no need for one until growth takes off.

I've thought about 120, but it would just be more work to move it if I end up changing apartments or moving for work related reasons. Plus, I already have the canopy near completion and the base is already partially constructed. I would like to get the tank wet within the next couple of months. When I purchase a house (Gosh knows when that is), I will definitely be doing a framed 150 gallon-ish in-wall build.

Would I be able to use an internal overflow and PVC instead of an external overflow and a U tube? If so, how would you design it? (See the difference below)

Only if you drilled, which I think you said you can't. Otherwise, you have to siphon the water to the other side of the overflow box.

Right, but I was thinking about using PVC to create my own "u-tube" and just continue the PVC to the sump as opposed to it going to another box and then down to the sump.
