That would be nice...but they do not need that big of a tank. Sure, if you want a LOT of fish...

Who said anything about a naso?

i mean as an adult when there around 1 1\2-2 feet but when there small you could keep 'em in smaller tanks for around a year or two;D

Correct, just cant fill that 7' gap with a tank - so going to fill the 5' gap with a tank instead! Ideal tank would be a 60x30x24 but they are hard to find - a 150 would work but only 4', just not sure the logistics of it all. Plan to keep sump and everything underneath the tank, most likely wont be able to have a bottom drilled tank (most are tempered) so side drilled overflow is probably it - guessing I will need 1-2" outside of the tank (wall to wall is 61"), if I have the overflow end on the side where the wall is (light switch and thermostat to be moved) then I can just take out a small portion of the wall to get an extra 3-4" of space...
The tank will be flush with that wall, which means it will hit that post at about halfway point - so if you walk through the 7' opening and look left you will see MOST of the tank, but 3-4" will be obstructed by the post...

    A 150 tall is 48 X 24 X 25.

Have you though about ordering a tank from a company such as Glass Cages?

    They make the 150 L. It's 60 X 24 X 24.

    If you went with a 60 X 30 X 24 that would be a little over 180g(they don't make it as a standard size). If you wanted to spend a little more they make a 195(60 X 30 X 25) for $911.

I would surely suggest that you install floor jacks under the floor in the crawlspace where the tank is going to go.

This build will obviously cost a few dollars - the $150.00 or so dollars for the jacks are 100% worth the peace of mind IMO.

I have jacks under my 120 where we have just a crawl space under the floor - the place where the tank is is the most stable part of the floor in our whole apartment!!

Yeah, been checking out glasscages site, they look promising for sure and the 190 is perfect.
I already installed some additional support, unfortunately it was under the 7' section! I took some 2x10 sections and put them in perpendicular to the joists with hangers - let me know if this is sufficient or if this even helps?

Anyone know if this type of support is ample for a tank?

There is way too many unknowns for anyone to say this would be ample. However the bracing you have added will help if that is what you are asking. If you added more 2x10's on the adjacent sections that would also help as it appears then one of the cross members would be connecting to an outer beam. I would be able to be more help with some more pictures.
