Thinking about a Blueface now. Why is it so hard to make this decision? A fish is a fish is a fish (not really)!

Try this: Stare at your tank for a while and see if you can decide what color combo might look best with what you already have. If you think most anything will work, you can do like me- go to your LFS and see what they have in stock, buy one and call it a day. :D

Are you looking to buy a juvenile or adult? Some angelfish make an amazing color transformation from juv to adult that is awesome to watch. I bought my queen angel when it was a 1 inch juv and now it's 6-7 inches and looks completely different. I can add some before and now pics if you would like

I would love to add a juvenile and watch it transform into an adult, but since it is the last fish that I am adding, I would worry about it getting beaten up by my Naso Tang Andy Dwarf Angels. I was thinking an adult in the 5"-6" range. Another reason that I was thinking of getting a Maculosus is that I have heard that adults are not as hard to acclimate as some other species.

I love the regal angel, I wouldn't swap my emporer angel for anything, got him as a juvenile and now 18months later he is a lovely almost completely changed big boy.
LoL huge ! Loves eating corals though :)

Emperor or annularis angels look amazing when they change. You can get a sub adult and not have any worries with the other fish bullying. The blue face angel and emperor are my favorite angels.

LFS price should beat LA prices most of the time. But none of them offers the 14 day warranty. For expensive items, you can even request for an additional 7 day warranty extension. My exp with them have been great. Fish came in good condition, well packaged, and healthy. As for blue face, I would suggest just to go with LFS since they are quite hardy.

I agree completely with your opinion regarding LA. I had a fish that I purchased that was refusing to eat and they extended their warranty. Exceptional customer service! If I could find a blue face around town, I would buy it but none of the LFS in the Denver area ever seem to have them. Based on another recommendation, I checked out NYaquatic and was thinking about this dude:
Blue Face Angel | Pomacanthus xanthometopon (6" adult)
Or still considering this beautiful Mac:
