pyramid butterfly - one of the only reef safe butterflies

Heniocus somethigorother - Reef safe banner fish. I believe packleader has one. Must be specific on the exact species. There are two almost exactly alike, one is safe the other not so much.

Turn your tank lights off, float the bag for 15 minutes to adjust temperature, then pour a cup of your tank water into the bag, wait 5 minutes, pour another cup into the bag, wait 5 minutes, take out 2 cups of water from the bag and throw those 2 cups down the sink, pour another cup of your water into the bag, wait 5 minutes, pour another cup into the bag, wait 5 minutes, pour the contents of the bag through a fish net into a bucket (thus catching the fish and throwing away the water from the bag) and release them into the tank. Keep lights off for 4 hours.

The reason I acclimate for this long is because my LFS keeps their salinity at 1.021 and I keep my tank at 1.025, so I test the water in the bag and when the SG of the bag and my tank is the same, I release them. Normally takes about 35-40 minutes. Unless I spent more than $50 on a fish, then I drip acclimate for an hour.

No need to drip for chromis, but you will need to acclimate them to your water rather than just the temp and then releasing them. (unless you order them and get them shipped. Some websites say that acclimating them will raise the pH too fast due to a build up of CO2 in the bag during shipping, but if you get them from a LFS follow my method)

I agree with blue falcon, you should start with chromis, they are great hardy little fish that will very rarely become aggressive. Whatever you do, do not get damsels, or at least add them last.
