    Hi everyone.

    No, I'm not rushing into purchasing anything... Here's the scoop;

    I've been working on a 90G build (see thread here: http://www.3reef.com/forums/show-off-your-fish-tanks/brews-90g-build-105491.html)

    The tank has been cycling for 3 weeks now, and I'm pretty much ready to order my lighting setup.

    For the past 3 weeks, I had been set on ordering this:

    Sunlight Supply Tek Light High Output Fluorescent Lighting Fixtures

    It's a 6 bulb, t5 fixture. Reviews are fantastic. I was about to place the order this afternoon, but after 6 bulbs (not included in purchase) as well as the fact that I'd have to figure out lunar LED's for myself, I started to rethink things.

    To be perfectly honest, all I want in my tank are healthy fish, a good selection of softies, and an anemone. I'm not looking to get into hard corals at all. From what I've read, 4 bulbs should be perfectly fine... and I have heat issues in my room as it is.

    I started looking around one last time, and found this:

    AquaticLife T5 HO 4-Lamp Light Fixtures w/ Lunar LEDs Reviews

    Reviews on this unit are also fantastic! Reasons I like it more: It includes 4 LED lunar lights, bulbs are inlcuded in the price (obviously they're not going to be amazing, and yes I'll replace them with ATI's or Geisseman within 6-9 months). It also has a built in LCD + Timer RIGHT ON THE UNIT!, and the entire thing runs on one power cord, rather than 3 like the sun tek.

    I'm pretty much sold on the second unit. This entire post may simply have been to talk myself into it further. Hmmm. I hate when that happens. lol.

    Any words of caution for me?

    Thanks 3reeeeeeeef. I loveeee you guys! ;)

    Oh. I forgot to mention...

    The suntek 6 bulb fixture doesn't come with any mounting hardware either. A pair of legs is another 50 bucks or so.

    I'm looking at a price difference of around $140 dollars without taking into account adding LED's for night time (which is a biggie for me)... I'm not willing to compromise and get a light that I'm not going to be happy with for the sake of that.

    But do I really need those 2 more bulbs?

    Teklight is known to be a solid performer with good bang for the buck. Not sure about the AquaticLife. If you're thinking you'll potentially get into hard coral down the line you could look at the Tek Elite 6 bulb, which seems really good.
