Help me choose!

    I'm a bit torn and need some opinions. I'm picking up a candy cane coral from a local reefer who is moving long distance and parting the entire tank. He has some nice peices at decent prices (as far as I can tell). The candy cane is one of my personal favorites, at the moment so that one is decided. What I can't decide is if I want anything else he has.

    Here are the two choices I narrowed down to. Keep in mind, I'm using the names the owner provided:

    Tyree green polyp leather

    Acan:

    I lean more torwards the leather only because I just added an acan and would like some variety. The idea of multiple acans isn't bad, though.

    I am throwing my vote in for the acan. I just am not the hugest fan of leathers because they get huge and in 6 months you will be like, "please just take some of it out of my tank so I can have more space to put stuff" to your closest friends :) Might happen with any coral I know, but leathers love to grow really big. Both are nice pieces, good luck deciding, there is always option 3, buy both!

    This is something I had thought about as well. Guy who has it says it's 3.5" in diameter right now. Option 3 is a no go for right now. Between buying my CuC, media basket/media, the acans, candy cane and 6 bottles of vintage wine....this decision is a one or none deal ;)

    Well, I got him to lower the price since I was buying 2 peices so I'm going with the candy cane and the leather. If it gets too large, I'll just sell it to someone...no harm and no money lost :) I'll have pictures up soon.

    I say buy all three. Ask for a bundle price.

    How much are the acans and toadstool? Does he have lineage for the toadstool? If not, it is just a green toadstool so take the cost of the tyree name out of the factor as well.

    Or say screw it to buying corals and bring the purple tang home with you.
