Help me choose

Am down to these 2 skimmers. SCA-302. Or a reef octopus 6 nw/w bubble plate. It is going to be used for a 75 gallon mostly lps a few sps. Medium to heavy bio load. Just would like some help choosing one that would be best for my set up. Thanks;D

 

I dont think you can go wrong with a reef octopus skimmer. I have one on my 240 and it works great. They are well built quality skimmers with good warranties just in cause and great customer service if you ever need it. In my experience it is harder to fine tune a skimmer that use the pipe that you twist instead of a gate valve like the one on the RO skimmer. I base my purchases on reviews from people who have actually used what i am wanting to get and the warranty. The type of warranty a company puts on their product tells you a lot about their confidence in their produce that it wont be defective and last you a long time. Hope this helps you a little.

 

Thanks that does help. Did not even cross my mind about warranty etc. Will go with the octo. Read great reviews about both but people seem to like octo bettter
