I now have more than moderate to high flow for a 30g tank and will be adding more with a new protein skimmer but find that most my soft except my Duncans prefer moderate to low flow. I would like to place some pieces up higher that like heavy flow and some that are happier (and safe) on the sand bed. Most of my moderate flow spaces are gone and I'm tired of putting all my corals at eye level.
My lights are great, so that's not an issue.
No hard corals. nothing branchy. My goal is to create a 'flowery aqua garden'.

Can anyone suggest any specific soft corals I should keep an eye out for?
    Thanks in advance.

I have polyps, hammer, frogspawn, torch and toadstool in front of powerheads and they do really nice.

Get the corals you like then find a nice spot in your tank for then.

a nice flowing coral is the Galaxea, fairly easy to take care of and will adjust to any kind of flow. I have one in my tank close to a powerhead and it looks like grass blowing in the wind
    very pretty.

just know that in the lower flow areas the galaxea will send out sweeper tentacles that can get fairly long up to 6" I've seen and will sting near by neighbors so if you're going to keep it in a low flow area make sure there is room around it, I have found that if you keep in a high flow area it doesn't send out its sweepers at all.

Flower pot should work or maybe some Red Sea Pulsing Xenias.

the strong powerhead is 300 gph and the other one is a very basic $14.99 from LFS.

FYI, One needs to know the exact GPH on the cheap powerhead. If it's less than 450 (and it's probably safe to assume that it is), then you have less than 25x turnover which is considered low-flow, not "more than moderate to high". 25-50 is moderate, above 50x is high flow. :)

Personally, I'd suggest replacing that one with another 300gph unit. With 20x, you can keep any soft coral you want and even some lower-flow LPS.
