    Hey everyone,
Brought back some rock with me Sunday from Baton Rouge to Houston and I found a few hitchhikers.. I am amazed it survived being out of water so long, although it was wrapped in wet newspaper..
    First one set of pics:
Looks like some type of anemone.. I examined all rock and rinsed with saltwater before putting it in.. this guy was attached to a rock and was mayed 1/4 of an inch tall.. was just stuck to the rock.. looked just like my BTA when recessed except it was REALLY recessed.. i tried poking it to remove it but it was stuck on the rock really good and i didnt know if it would sting me so I just left it and put it in the tank..
Here is a pic of if on the rock when when examining everything.. I got the rock 3-25-07 btw

This thing is deinitely on the move.. I made sure to check where it was yesterday and it is scooting along the rock and now it wedged itself in between a rock.. heres the best pics i could take

And finally, this is another hitchhiker.. I was told it was a mussell :
It was also on a sperate piece of rock and moved itself to a rock I already had in my tank overnight!

The first one looks more like a carpet anemone, the second is a clam.

First one could be a hairy mushroom as well.

Looks more like some type of flower anemone to me. The second pic is some kind of bi-valve but I'm not sure which. Third pic looks like an empty tube worm "casing".

the third pic is actually the "body" of what you see in the first and second picture... there is the yellow top part and then it goes down and attaches to the rock.. its extended

Now that I look at the 3rd pic again, I don't understand how I could have come up with tube worm. Clearly, I haven't had enough coffee yet.

still keeping my eye on this thing..
has been on the move, but not too far.. if you touch it, it will suck back into itself for a while, its 'tenticles' seem to be growing back. I put a small fish on it and it kinda looked like it was eating it, but i didnt stick around to watch. SOMEBODY has to know what this thing is haha.. sorry if these pictures are almost all the same, its really hard getting good pictures of it.. click for high res!
