You think so? What gives it away for being a lobo than a candy cane for you?

I disagree Nana, I have a 18 head candy cane and they all look excactly like the one the OP posted. It was call a "trumpet" coral when I bought it but is basically the same thing. Lobos tend to flare more at the ends imo

I dunno, I think nana may be right about my coral indeed being a Lobo. I found this picture of a Lobo (very similar to the one I have just more heads) and it changed color to purple/pink and blue in a few weeks and the skin got more "bumpy looking" like a lobo. It's possible mine may be the same coral as this and will change in a few weeks. MAYBE! It's just the LONG sweepers in with the short ones seems way off compared to candy canes and trumpets... that's my main reasoning on me thinking it actually is a lobo that possibly wasn't in proper conditions. Look at these pics. I think if my coral was bigger or had more heads I could have easily identified it myself lol. But it only being one head about 2" across... it's hard to tell lol The color also throws me lol. I dunno... with these pics of someone elses lobo's color change and the LONG sweepers mine has (I saw 4 of them this morning with the short ones) I think it is a lobo. What do you guys think?

Actually candy canes and trumpets are different corals, same family but different corals ;)
    Candy Cane- Caulastrea furcata
    Trumpet coral- Caulastrea echinulata

Yea, I can tell that one is a candy cane. Mine looks "fleshier" than that. I'll have to post another pic of it with my digital camera and not the playbook lol. But on google I've seen some pretty "fleshy" looking candy canes. I'm still lookin it up lol.
