    Typically, once the polyps start sloughing off, there isn't much you can do to save it. You may make the dying parts worse by fragging, but at least you'll have some frags of the colony.

    It comes down to whether you want to give the whole colony a better shot at surviving (odds are against this IMO), or ensure you have at least some of this beautiful coral left over.

    do you target feed it? reason I ask is i started losing my acans.. I never target fed them in my old tank but in the new one.... they shriveled up. Turns out they was starving.

    Well its almost completely closed up now.

    Over the weekend I did a water change, rechecked all parameters, lowered my alk by .5 and tried spot feeding. Nothing worked. May be too late to try removing it.

    Looks too late to frag too. That's why we typically frag after a decline in health, to ensure some pieces remain.

    I would frag the red bottom piece that looks a bit different in color, looks like it may be a healthy and give you a chance at another beautiful colony. Nothing to loose at this point.
