I am looking for a fish for my 12 gallon nano cube. I want the fish I chose to "have a job". Both of my LFS like most LFS have a on going flat worm issue and even though I dip all of my coral it's only a matter of time before I have a similar problem. So preferable I would like a fish that will eat flatworms.

    Here are my tank specs

    12 gallon nano cube
    Mixed reef
    Bare bottom
    Rimless (with a open top)
A lot of flow so must be a good swimmer
This will be the only fish in this tank

So far I have come up with a six line wrasse and a yellow coris wrasse. If you can think of any other fish or have a better idea for a good choice for my setup please let me know .

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
A Blue Damsel or Yellow Tail Damsel will eat flatworms just fine. Withhold food for a day and blow the flatworms off surfaces in front of the fish and they quickly catch on.

Tank is pretty small and being barebottom really limits options for most wrasse. I love my melanarus wrasse, havnt even seen a bristleworm in years now lol.

a 12 gallon barebottom "open Top. you can pretty much expect, your wrasse to be on the carpet the very first morning after you purchase it. I've heard peppermint shrimp will eat flatworms.

Mandarin Gobys will eat flatworms. I wasnt going to suggest it at first because I didnt think you had the ecosystem to maintain it but then I read your bio about you having a 40 gallon sump. If you have a fuge, you may be able to support a Mandarin

Hey banthony the 40 gallon is a different setup, I do not have a sump on this tank and in turn I don't have the ecosystem to support a mandarin unfortunately

Coralline I actually like your idea but I was thinking maybe something a little nicer. Maybe a starcki or a princess damsel

My first thought was that any wrasse would jump quickly. Too small of a tank for them. I think the better solution here is to simply dip any coral you get from your lfs, or use a different lfs.

A damsel is your only option really. But if your soul purpose is to rid your tank of flatworms then I agree with guitar man. I wouldn't recommend a mandarin at all.
