yeah if the mantis uses that as its den, the water will be moving quite alot in that pipe

Maybe drill a hole in the middle/back of the pipe? That'll give him 3 ways in and out. Living in a tube seems like it'd be kind of tight.

Well the damsel didn't make it..kind of a weird story

I was rearranging the rocks..had a few on the floor on a towel..while I was messin around the with the tank my new puppy decided to poop in the middle of the living room..in a small apartment that was my number 1 priority! I came back about 10 or so minutes later..finished up with the rocks..as I was putting the last rock in I turned it upside down and the damsel fell out..He was hiding in a hole in the rock when I took it out of the tank

I have tested ammonia every day and it's still reading zero..read 5ppm nitrates yesterday..i'm gonna give it another week or so just to be safe. I left the damsel in there for the hermit crab I tossed in yesterday..he's feasting..maybe that will give me an ammonia spike

It'll probably spike it up a good bit, but that's good for the cycle as well.

We had one of our freshwater fish die a few days ago. We were too lazy to get it out, but it looked weird seeing a dead fish in the tank. We didn't really care about this fish...so this morning I just grabbed it in some tongs, took it to Bo's tank, and gave it to Bo (our mantis) to eat. He loved it :) hahahaha
