i'd get the 4runner and spend the extra cash on something nice for your house/tank/property
4runners are great cars, especially the ones with the back window rolling down. bmw's are too business man type for me, but i'm more of an outdoorsmen so that just my oppinion

I've got an X3 (they've got all wheel drive). I also have a Tundra.

Off-road (and on), that X3 will run circles around my tundra. It's not a jeep, sure, but very rarely does the hardcore needs of a jeep ever come up (unless you go looking for it).

I live on 10 acres and both those vehicles routinely go through mud and soft sand through the woods. I love that X3. It's a blast on and off road.

The X3 has also been in a few highway accidents at speed (all caused by other at fault drivers). It's still going strong. We've got almost 150k miles on it at this point. When it dies, I'll probably trade it for a newer model. (Mine is a 2005).

I also have an IS350 and that car will run circles around the X3 on the highway but it has to stay clear of any dirt ;D It's my sunny day driver.

I vote for anything that is not a VW. I have had so many endless problems with mine, and at some point the dealership just said... Well we don't know what is making your car stall randomly, and we can't fix it...

Well....I think I have eliminated some choices, It's probably gonna be a 4 runner or X3. Although I would love to have a 7 or BMW in general, the 4runner may be the best choice for the future, considering maintenance and all. Thanks Everyone for your input. I will post pictures when I buy whatever I end up getting.....
