Help Me Pick!

OK after 3 60-70 percent water changes, a ton of carbon, and setting my skimmer on kill I want to try another fish in my softie tank. (see my nuked tank thread) Everything is looking back to normal. No ammonia present in system so I think I'm good to go. (I hope so anyway) As bad as I hate to say it, I need a tester fish. I don't want to do a damsel for obvious reasons. I wanna do something I am willing to keep long term. I'm paying Karma for suggestions. (useful ones) The tank is a 55 and I'm into gobies and smaller, hyper active fish. So let the suggestions begin.

 

get a hardy tank raised ocellaris clown

 

well I wanna be careful with the clowns cuz I am going to get one that I know is hosting. (bubble anemone that survived crash) but there will definately be an ora clown in the tank. KARMA

 

I agree with Bogie, clowns are very hyperactive and should do well in this sort of a tank. I really don't see how you can go wrong! Good luck brother!

 

I'd go with a Sixline! They are lots of fun to watch swim around in the current.

How bout a bi-color blenny or midas blenny.
You know there hardy and among the funniest to watch .

Next would be for me i guess maybe a hippo ( small )

 

I dig the hippo but as a member of the tang police, I don't know how that would work in a 55. The do grow awfully slow tho huh?? (I don't know fish too well, just coral)

 

Go look in my tank thread , ( wildreefs 220 tank journal ) found in the fish tank section.

Youll see a little fella (hippo) thats bought 2 inches long now, got him round 4 months ago, was just a babe in my tank now.

I think the hippo is one of the most dosile tangs ever and fairly easy to care for.
( choose a good one and i always like to buy small when i can )

 

You might consider a Banggai Cardinal. They're model citizens. They aren't too expensive either. I bought a pair in November, and now the male is carrying eggs in his mouth! The whole shape of his head and jaw has changed. They'll never bother another fish. I think they're beautiful. Just my 2 cents.
