Help me pickout my bulbs

    I want to use ATI and Giesman bulbs, but I am in a pickle. The names and spectrum don't do me any good with picking out what I want. The fixture is a 36" 6 bulb tek light. I want to have a Bluish tint to the water when all bulbs are on and a strong actinic when the daylights are off. Any suggestions on color combo. Photos of tanks that use these bulbs and a list of the bulbs in use would be extremely helpful. Thank you in advance.

    what ive just gotten xmetal are 2 geismann actinic plus. bright and blue ive found. got 3 aquablue geismanns also. plus a midday geismann , which sorry i havent added yet. but i was going for the same thing , and this was on the recomendation of dr.fragenstein. hope this confuses you more. :). j\k.

    I hope he pops on soon to help out. when you instal the bulbs could you post a photo of all the lights on and one of just the actinics on please? And no, you didn't confuse me lol

    I really like the look of 3 ATI Blue +, 2 ATI aquablues, and a KZ Fiji purple in the 6 bulb setup over my 125. front to back its

    Blue +
    fijipurple
    aquablue
    blue +
    aquablue
    blue +

    I played with a few different combos and came to like this one the best by far.

    I want my lighting to be a little less blue than this one:

    The bulbs he is running are these:
    6 x 80w with IC 660 ballasts
    Front
    ATI Blue+
    ATI Aquablue
    ATI Blue+
    ATI Pro Color
    ATI Aquablue
    ATI Blue+
    Rear

    How can I make this a little less blue and a little brighter?

    I think I am going to go with this combo:

    2- Blue +
    2- 12k Aquablue
    2- pro color or fiji purples or one of each

    Thoughts?

    you may want to sub a pro color or fiji purple with a 12k or 14k bulb.. if you want it brighter and a little whiter..

    i would do the 2 blue +,but 3 aquablues, and one pro color or fiji purple and i think you will be right at the color you are looking for.
