    Woo-hoo! Got my security deposit refund check in the mail from the apartment place I stayed at while I was working last semester. 200 bucks! Since this is "bonus" money I figured I'd spend it on my tank as there are a few things I would like to upgrade.

    Pick one

    -New skimmer-SWC 120 Cone
    -Controller
    *Aqua controller Jr
    * Reefkeeper Lite

    I am leaning towards the Aqua controller Jr...My fancy coralife powerstrip/timer went out a few months ago and I have been using the ugly giant walmart timers since. I really how much you can do with this thing..The RKL seems like in order to do any major upgrades you would need to just upgrade from the base unit and I intend on it doing more than just switching my lights on and off...

    I was pretty set on getting the skimmer, but I cleaned my current one out THOROUGHLY and I'm now getting good skimmate I have never gotten before..so I think the new skimmer will be postponed.

    Anyway..any comments/suggestions appreciated.

    If you're happy with your skimmer now I definitely vote for controller. As for which one I can't say, I've seen some nice things from the ReefKeeper Lite about having the potential to add on a net module but I have an AC Jr and it's great. Wouldn't run a tank without a controller of some sort myself. Enjoy!

    haha well that was easy...thanks everyone

    Bama..I almost got the RKL in the past. Then I started reading and found out it really doesn't have much. The price definitely sells it.

    I'm gonna go deposit the check tomorrow morning and order it tomorrow afternoon then. I'm getting this one. Temp probe and a bunch of outlets is all I really need at the moment. I plan on getting a Ca reactor this summer..so I'll get the pH probe then.

    K to everyone!

    I think I'm going to get the serial cable too..just because I think it would be awesome to be able to turn my lights on/off from my computer haha Being able to actually see temperature fluctuations and whatnot on a graph would be pretty cool too
