i have a 4ft 80G reef tank with pair oc clowns and pair pj cardinals along with corals

over the last 2 days all of the zoos and mushrooms in my tank have shrunken and the mushrooms are emmiting white strings as if there were budding or in this case under stres.

all my water parameters are fine ammnia, nitrite and nitrate zero
    phosphate 0.1ppm
    temp 77f
    pH 8.2
    alk 11dkh
    Calcium 400ppm
    Salinity 1.023
    iron, mg all fine
    120W LED lighting
    trickle filter system
    macroalgae fuge

tank has been running for 1.5yrs now with the mushrooms and zoos booming then all of a sudden they has closed and white string and not looking good. i have checked for signs of predators and none present. checked and re checked temp with 3 different mechanisms
    10G water change fortnightly
    vortech mp40 flow

weird thing is that my leathers both toadstool and devils fingers are happy along with fungai and anenomes are all fine.

any ideas as to what could be going on??

    thanks

How long have you had the anemones? and do you use carbon? Might be some chemical warfare going on. Are the fish fine?

ive had the anenomes for aslong as ive had all of the others pretty much and they havent moved and no problems with them being near other corals. i run carbon, phosguard and zeovite and was changed 2 days ago. fish are all fine and eating happily hence the confusion thanks

Hmmm - well those are the first things that came to mind - nothing else has been added of late? The anemones have not been traveling? The only reason I say that again - is a buddy of mine had kinda the same issue and after a few days noticed his anemone right next to his frogspone making it very miserable

nope anems havent moved and nothing has been added for bout 3 months and that was a pj. only half a colony of zoos are affected but all mushrooms throughout the tank are displaying signs of severe stress. they are different colours and types of mushrooms in different areas of flow and lighting but all showing same signs.

Wish I could help, but I can't figure this one out...
Have you added anything new in the week(s) prior to all this happening?

I'm not really having a "monkey touch monolith moment" on this one... So I'm going to bump it to see if anyone else may have an idea.

Hmmm, shrooms & zoas are on the easier side of corals and are fairly tolerant of water conditions. I would try to keep the salnity closer to 1.024-1.025 & the PO4 to zero or under zero.

There have been times when things in my tank just dissolve away for no apparent reason, moreso like xenia. But reading farther into your thread it sounds like something is infecting the corals. Leathers are pretty resilient so they may not be affected. Are you running any carbon?

Did you do any work on your tank lately? Change the lights or pump or anything One time when I was changing my lights, a piece of my chiller fan from the hood fell in my tank and I didn't know it. I put the new lights in and closed everything up and a while later my coral did the same thing. I couldn't figure it out and I lost a lot of my coral. A while later I found the piece of my fan and it had iron wire in it, and that's what caused the whole problem.

Not sure if that helps, but I hope you can find the problem and fix it.

Do you have a picture? maybe its something like pox or something.
