Help My Blue Tang is Loosing color at Night

    Don't worry!! My blue tang does the exact same thing every night and I have had him for 3years. They are just sleeping. Mine sleeps in the same spot every single night.i mean cmon, swimming is hard work and can you imagine if you couldn't stop of 10 hours straight......just a thought :)

    It's normal tangs lose there colors at night. you may want a some better hiding places if it must wedge itself under a rock to hide.

    I also used to have a clownfish that would lay on the sand bed at night.

    Should be fine IMO, however, could be a pH swing. You have a sump with the lights on at night to help stabilize pH when the lights are of in DT?
