Get out of here sheesh. ::)

He obviously had no clue it had to cycle longer than what he had going for him. This hobby takes time, theres no need to go out bashin' on people for plain old not knowing.

    Man thats a small tank

    HI,
with saltwater bigger is better, I usally cycle with live sand from a healthy tank thats been established.
Its real hard to cycle a 10 gal , 6mos down the road you over feed a little and you in trouble with nitrite ,NH3, and othe NOX.
If I had a small tank maybe a 30 gal I would keep 1-2 hermits for a few months and let it cycle.
I have a lot of problems keeping my 110 gal water column stable between a 55 gal /37 gal with a 30 gal sump. lots of sand and filters..
    I can't even imagine a 10 gal
PSPS chromis are very sensative to water conditions they will die first.
    then damsel and so on..
    Doug

dont feel bad first time i tried to start a saltwater tank i added a damsel on the 3rd day it died that night. bigger is better id advise you atleast use a 30 gallon if not a 50(breeders are the best). nano tanks are more of something more to try later in the hobby. trust me your gonna be glad if you get a bigger tank because being new your gonna want to try to add everything( once you get caught up in the hobby, you will become like a kid in a candy store a very expense candy store)
