After adding buffer the other day, I noticed that my galaxia was bleaching. I have checked the parameters on the water daily. I can not seem to find anything out of balance or anything. My pH dropped to 8.1 from 8.3 but that should not have a drastic effect on my galaxia. It has been through way worse.

This piece is amazing! I'd hate for it to die out on me now. I have had her for 8 healthy months. What do I do next??

    Any information would help.

I notice when I feed my filter feeders, the tentacle like appendages extend.. I feel that it still has a chance. It just seems help-less. Everything else seems fine!

It may be more sensitive to the drop in pH. Remember a lower pH means more acidic water. My pH recently dropped from 8.4 to 8.1 when my cheato died and my anemone freaked and bleached a bit around 1/4 of its edge. I would make sure you haven't had a big drop in your dKH, Ca or Mg. Check all your other params while you are at it too though. It may be a simple thing like elevated NO3 too.

You say everything else seems fine...what do you have as far as corals are concerned?
    How old are your lights?
Your pH seems fine to me but what are your alkalinity, calcium, magnesium salinity readings and water temperature?

I appreciate everyones replies. I found out exactly what my problem is/was! My salinity level was actually very high. I have been monitoring it bi-weekly without any major problems for the past year and a half... The calibration solution was not properly adjusting my Digital Specific Gravity/Salinity-Meter. I have sense upgraded to what my local fish store uses. I have started the process of bringing it down today and it has already had a drastic change for the better!

I will post pictures up very soon! Thanks again!
