Help, my refractometer isn't working

    Yes you do not calibrate it to zero but rather 53. If that is not what you want to do go get some distilled water to cal to zero

    I love my refractometer, Best 40 bucks i ever spent! BTW Whats the difference from ro/di water and distilled water?

    reverse osmosis ;) RO/DI combo is by far the best

    RO = Reverse osmosis
    DI = Deionization

    FYI to all. I used some ro/di water to calibrate to zero and it too showed tank water of 1.022. Whew! I feel so glad right now.

    My plan is to slowly raise that to 1.025 over the next week by topping off with RO/DI PWC water.

    Is that too fast? raising it .003 over 7 days?
